TEACHING PHILOSOPHY:
THE WORLD AS CLASSROOM
THE WORLD AS CLASSROOM
Expriential Learning
“Education...becomes the practice of freedom, the means by which men and women deal critically and creatively with reality and discover how to participate in the transformation of their world.”
― Paulo Freire
As an instructor I’ve had the opportunity to teach hundreds of students across various educational levels and socioeconomic backgrounds, having taught general studies to children as well as business concepts to adult learners. I use the city as my classroom and canvas, as learning is best absorbed and retained by experience. Through this type of learning, students are challenged to discover and understand differing philosophies and methodology via trips that are in the field and virtual. Students typically find parallels to their aspirations and experiences and find enthusiasm in the interconnectedness. This broadens their perspective and encourages the inner genius. Students are then better apt to build on learned principles, take risks, create new concepts and re-invent old foundations.

Where My Students Experience Learning
Because learning is best absorbed and retained through experience, I use the city to examine and illustrate business, marketing and leadership principles via learning excursions. I lead students on dynamic and important journeys with a discussion of values and culture at its center. I partner with a number of unique and important cultural, artistic and entertainment businesses to create authentic learning experiences for students. My instruction focuses on humanity - the place where culture and business must intersect to drive the creation of products and services that provide value for the greater good. Contact me to collaborate with your business and learn more about what my students do.
