The American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED blended learning course equips students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults children and infants. It is designed for students who need a certification that satisfies OSHA workplace or other regulatory requirements. This class is taught in a blended learning format and the online portion (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to attending the Instructor-led skills session. Upon successful completion a valid 2-year digital certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED is issued.

Who is the course for?:
- It is designed for students who need basic life support certification that satisfies OSHA workplace or other regulatory requirements, such as for individuals in healthcare, childcare, education, public safety, manufacturing, construction, transportation, hospitality, etc.
What will I learn?
- The course equips students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults children and infants.
Is the class certified?
- Training is founded and approved by studies and evidence-based data from the Scientific Advisory Council and certified by the American Red Cross
Where will classes be held?
- The current location is listed in the course registration description. Our classes are held at one of a number of local network sites that are easily accessible by public transportation and/or have free on-street parking. We can also make arrangements for groups at their organizational locations.
I have an organization and would like to schedule a group session at my facility. How do I arrange this?

What is the typical class size?
- The average class is 6 - 12 individuals, or a 12:1 student/teacher ratio to ensure delivery of quality instruction.
What is the minimum number of students to qualify for a discounted group session?
- Six (6) registered people will qualify your institution for a group discount of 5%.
What is your policy on attendee arrival times and cellphone usage?
- There is a 15-minute grace period. Arrival beyond this allotted timeframe requires that the attendee make arrangements for no more than 1 rescheduling on a future date. Electronic devices/cell phones are not allowed while courses are being administered.
- After adding a product(s) to the cart and completing payment, an automatic receipt will be sent to you by email. Retain it for your records. We will also have a file of your registration on the day of the class.
Should I bring anything the day of the class?
- Be sure to bring a valid legal photo identification to verify your registration. Accepted forms of identification consist of a state photo identification or driver's license
- This is a blended course consisting of an online + in-person skills session: The online portion (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to attending the on-site instructor-led skills session. It is administered via the American Red Cross website, is conveniently self-paced so that you can pace completion, and student progress is automatically stored. Upon successful completion of it, a valid 2 year certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED is issued digitally. You must present this certificate upon arrival at the in-person skills session.
- The CPR/First Aid in-person skills session is 2 hours in length. Please arrive well rested, be dressed comfortably and inform in advance if you need any accommodations to ensure ease of participation.
When will I receive my certificate?
- Certificates will be made available electronically by the American Red Cross after completion of your in-person skills session.
I’d like to have an instructor administer the course at my facility. What technical and seating accommodations do I need to have?
- A projection screen (Flat screen television/projector and screen, with wireless connection capability).
- Reliable internet connection.
- Tables with space between each attendee to ensure ease of program administration.
- Quiet and clean environment. Well lit with comfortable temperature.
Are registrations refundable or transferrable?
- For online courses that are offered in conjunction with the American Red Cross (such as with blended courses) students can cancel their enrollment within 48 hours of purchase and receive a full refund. After 48 hours, no refunds can be given.
- All rescheduled and/or cancellation requests must be made via email. You will be scheduled for the next date available at that location-We cannot guarantee that date will work with your schedule. We can be reached at [email protected].
- Any rescheduled class must be taken within the 3 months following, otherwise trainees will have to enroll and pay a new fee.
- CWPDC is not responsible for wrong information/details entered by its clients.
- Full refund offered for most classes if cancelled within 24 hours of registration.
- After the first 24 hrs. These policies apply for Basic Classes such as :BLS, CPR-PRO, Adult and/or pediatrics (CPR) with/without First aid:
- 1 FREE rescheduling is allowed if requested 72hrs before a scheduled class starts.
- A $20 fee is charged to cancel after 24hrs of registration and before 24hrs to class start time.
- A $40 adm fee is charged for all cancellations of basic courses within the last 24hrs to class; unless you registered within that period.
- No Refund if a class is rescheduled in the last 24 hrs to the start of the class(Unless class was booked in the same time-period).You will be given a credit to use for a future class less the rescheduling fee.
- No refunds offered for a no show or failed skills session(applies to all services)
